🤔 Down the TBR Part 22 ðŸ¤”

Another week to clear this forever long TBR! I did go an make sure a lot of my arcs were on my TBR, so we’re starting at 1794, which is more than last week. Let’s get right into it!

✔ What I Kept ✔

French Silk by Sandra Brown

I’m kind of a sucker for stories set in New Orleans. Plus this is a woman who is falling in love and trying to prove her innocence but has secrets she has sworn to take to the grave!

The Chamber by John Grisham

I said I didn’t like legal thrillers, but this is set in MS. And I’ve read another Grisham book and liked it, so I’ll give this one a go.

A Time to Kill by John Grisham

Another legal thriller, but this is also set in MS and by Grisham so I’ll give it a try.

It’s Not Easy Being Green by Jim Henson

I got this book when I graduated nursing school as a gift. I should probably read it.

✘ What I Deleted ✘

Texas Heat by Fern Michaels

I’ve deleted the others in the series.

Pursuit by Karen Robards

The synopsis just didn’t stick out to me.

A Whole New Light by Sandra Brown

Just very chick lit romance. Eh.

The Crush by Sandra Brown

The synopsis seemed kind of convoluted, so I feel like the story may be the same way.

Unspeakable by Sandra Brown

A psychopath escapes prison and tries to kill a deaf mom and her kids. No thanks.

Smash Cut by Sandra Brown

Not a huge fan of legal thrillers, and this is like a mix of that and a normal mystery with some romance thrown in? I’m going to pass.

We are ending the TBR at 1788. Not too bad! I’m so ready to get through all these books and get a true TBR!

What did you think of my decisions? Would you have made any different ones? Let me know in the comments below!

😷 Down the TBR Part 21 ðŸ˜·

I hope everyone is staying safe out there! I’m still working a reduced schedule, which I love! I don’t know what I am going to do when I go back to working full time. I have gotten so much reading done! I am for sure going to miss by 12-4 hours.

This week, we are starting the TBR at 1785. I am going to do a quick one today, looking at 10 books. My toddler is occupied for now, but I never know how long that’s going to last.

✔ What I Kept ✔

The Nosy Neighbor by Fern Michaels
This one seems cute, along with some intrigue! I’ll usually give it a chance if the FBI is involved.

Hot Ice by Nora Roberts
This one sounds so good! I love a romantic suspense.

✘ What I Deleted ✘

Seasons of Her Life by Fern Michaels
This one is just too chick-lit for me.

Blue Dahlia by Nora Roberts
This one just didn’t catch my interest.

Black Rose by Nora Roberts
This is book #2 to Blue Dahlia.

Texas Rich by Fern Michaels
I thought I already deleted this from my TBR. I know I deleted the others in the series.

Texas Heat by Fern Michaels
Maybe I deleted books 3 and 4. I know I deleted Texas something!

Private Scandals by Nora Roberts
This one also sounds super chick lit.

Listen to Your Heart by Fern Michaels
Another super chick lit romance.

Kentucky Rich by Fern Michaels
I am fairly certain I have deleted the other books in this series.

I ended this one pretty well. Only kept 2/10. We are ending the week at 1778! I am going to go through and make sure all my ARCs are on my TBR, so the number may be a little different next week!

What did you think of my selections? Are there any I should have kept? Let me know in the comments below!

Down the TBR Part 20

Ah! Part 20 of my down the TBR! I’ve reviewed way more than 200 books, but this is really helping me get a true TBR. Today we will go through 20 more books that I added on July 15, 2015. I feel like this is gonna be a good one. Plus, I will finally get below 1800 books! Woooo!

✔ What I Kept ✔

Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
This has everything I usually hate! Chick lit, Amish, adult fiction. But for some reason this just sounds so good! I have to give it a try.

Mercy by Jodi Picoult
Mercy killings are a hot topic, one I love to discuss. I can’t turn a book away with that topic!

About Face by Fern Michaels
Super cute cover. Doctor MC. Memory loss and a mystery. I’m all about it.

The Third Circle by Amanda Quick
I’m pretty sure I added the other books in this series.

Charming Lily by Fern Michaels
I went back and forth, and at the last minute decided to give this one a chance. It’s set in Mississippi and seems like it might have a good mystery.

✘ What I Deleted ✘

Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult
This one just didn’t grab my attention the way Plain Truth did. It doesn’t seem like something I’d enjoy.

Songs of the Humpback Whale by Jodi Picoult
This one seems way too romance-y, chick-lit for me.

Snow Angels by Fern Michaels
This is a book of four novellas. The reviews weren’t great and it didn’t really grab my attention, so I’ll pass.

Weekend Warriors by Fern Michaels
#1 in the Sisterhood series. Something about these books just makes me cringe and makes me feel so uneasy.

Lethal Justice by Fern Michaels
Again, #6 in the Sisterhood series

Fast Track by Fern Michaels
#10 in the Sisterhood series, and I remember deleting others in this series.

Razor Sharp by Fern Michaels
#14 in the Sisterhood Series.

Texas Fury by Fern Michaels
#3 in Texas series. The synopsis did not make me want to go and read the first two.

What You Wish For by Fern Michaels
I don’t know why I have so many by Fern, but most of her works just do not entice me.

The Scoop by Fern Michaels
Another very chick lit book. This just screams something that my mom would read. Or my Meme.

My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Removing this ONLY because I have read it before. It was before the movie came out. I remember seeing the movie and being SO pissed at the ending. This is a great book, though.

Pretty Woman by Fern Michaels
The synopsis just didn’t call to me. Very chick lit.

Kentucky Heat by Fern Michaels
#2 in the Kentucky series, and I’m pretty sure I deleted the first one.

Fool Me Once by Fern Michaels
Another very chick lit read.

Serendipity by Fern Michaels
I just couldn’t even get into reading the synopsis.

This was a pretty good turnout! I deleted 15 books, bringing my TBR to 1785! I have deleted so many since starting this. I still have a long way to go, but it is still so satisfying. I only have 35 books left from July 15, 2015, so I’ll probably cover all those in the next post! I’m ready to move on from this day. I think it’s taken the whole month!

What do you think of my choices? Were there any that you would have kept or deleted? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time…
