Hi! I’m so glad you joined me at my blog! These are the ramblings of a 30 year old book obsessed mom, wife, nurse, gamer, and avid reader. I hope you feel like I’m chatting to you over coffee or tea. Because honestly, what book lover doesn’t love coffee or tea?
I decided to start this blog because during Book Battle I found I really liked reviewing books. My reviews got longer and longer, and I realized I needed a larger space to convey my every thought and feeling!
I am a monthly helper with Book Battle, a competitive reading game! Our 1k+ members are sorted into teams and pitted against one another to see who can earn the most points by reading books based on criteria. We have team challenges, instagram challenges, and minigames within our teams. I always try to do at least one read-a-thon a month for my team! We’d love for you to join us!
I’m also one of the Content Moderators for Words & Whimsy Book Club! Along with our 5.3K+ members, we have three books discussions a month. We do recommendations for every genre imaginable. There are fun posts like Fan Art Friday, Cover Competitions, and Convince Me – where we try to convince one of our members to read a book they’ve been on the fence about! In 2019 we started live chatting with best selling authors including Kendare Blake, Annie Sullivan, Roshani Chokshi, CJ Redwine, and Jay Kristoff! In 2020, we’ve already chatted with Marissa Meyer! This year is STACKED! These chats are so fun, I promise you don’t want to miss them!
Aside from all my bookish adventures, at work I try to keep track of about 50 doctors and nurse practitioners – not an easy task. I chase around my almost-two-year-old daily. I try to be a loving wife to my husband, who I met on World of Warcraft!
I am addicted to RuPaul’s Drag Race and watch it religiously. I love prison and murder shows on Netflix. Anything with Gordon Ramsay, count me in! I also love Chopped and any other cooking competition show. Anyone want to give me lessons?
In 2019 I started playing Dungeons & Dragons! My character may or may not be influenced by Inej from Six of Crows – my favorite book!
